Things You'll Need:
- Internet
- coupons
- money
- Time
- Paypal account
-
Step 1
Use the internet to shop for supplies. The internet is very convienient for working people who do not have the time to go to the store. You can aslo find very good bargains on clothes, supplies computers, backpacks and more on the internet. If you are afraid of giving your credit card information over the internet to purchase supplies, sign up with paypal.com and only shop at sites that use paypal and you will be safe and if someone refuses to send an item you bought, paypal can compensate you.
-
Step 2
You should try and buy your electronics off season. Purchase things like computers in January or during other times in course of the year when sales are being advertised. Consumerreports.org has a buying guideline for electronic products. Another site to consider is frugalytics.com
-
Step 3
Look for cloth discounts by window shopping on sites like msn shopping, yahoo shopping. These sites enable you to compare item prices from different websites
-
Step 4
Avoid buying new books from college bookstores if you can. Consider buying used books in good conditions. Visit sites like amazon, half.com, ebay and campus books to buy used books. Only purchase books from the college bookstore if the book cannot be found in any used books stores. You might think that buying used books is disgusting but trust me, i saved lots of money while i was in school by buying used books. The condition of the the used books i bought were good and the book always looked new. So it does not make sense to buy a new book while you can get the same book in good condition at amazon.com
