Things You'll Need:
- 1/2 yard fabric
- Matching thread and a needle or fabric glue
- Scissors
- Your bible
- Caulk
- Ruler or measuring tape
- Straight pins (optional)

Step 1
Lay your fabric face down on your work surface and place your bible, open, on top. Trace a line around your bible with the chalk onto the fabric.

Add one inch to the tracing you just at the top and bottom of the bible by measuring with your ruler and making a new line in chalk.

Add 5" to the side tracings and make a new line with your chalk.

Cut out the fabric rectangle and hem the edges of the fabric. To do a hem, place the fabric face down on the work surface and fold 1/2" of fabric over. Glue this fold down. If you are sewing, pin the fold with straight pins. Fold the edge again and glue or sew it in place.

Step 5
Folding InstructionsFold 4" of the left side over and sew the top and bottom edges to the fabric to create a pocket. Do this to the right side as well.

Step 6
Slip your bible's cover into the pockets. Your bible cover is now complete. You can decorate the front or leave it plain.
