Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Towels
  • Box
  • Eyedropper
  • Kitten bottle
  • Kitten replacement milk
  • Wash cloth
  1. Step 1

Examine the kitten to make sure it does not have any trauma or injuries. If the newborn kitten is physically, ok. Then wrap the kitten in a towel. The newborn kitten is unable to control there body temperature so they need to be kept warm and out of drafts. Keep the kitten bundled and place in a small box.

  2. Step 2

You will need to feed the kitten with an eyedropper or kitten bottle that you can purchase at your local pet store. For the food, you need kitten replacement milk; you can find different brands at the pet store. When feeding the kitten offer the food in small amount untill the kitten gets use to the kitten replacement milk. You only want to give as much as they can swallow at a time. You will need to feed the newborn kitten every three hours. You will have to simulate the mom by gently wiping the genital area with a warm washcloth. This will help the kitten learn to go potty.

  3. Step 3

If the kittens are, only a few days old it is best to take them to the vet, kittens that are a few days old are very fragile and will need extra care. Do not be alarmed if one or two die this happens all the time with kittens no one can explain why. Just do the best you can by keeping them warm and feeding.

Tips & Warnings
  • If the newborn kittens are sick with runny nose, it is best to take them to the vet.
  • If the newborn kittens will not eat they could be very sick and they should see a vet asap. And you should not expose the sick kittens to your other cat if you have any.
