As a partner at Starbucks, i have seen how it can become very challenging to communicate what you want to drink. Here is the proper way to order a drink.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Desire for a delicious beverage
  • Money
  1. Step 1

Know what you want ahead of time, trying to decide at the last minute can leave you with an unwanted beverage.

  2. Step 2

Here is the order in which to say any modifiers to the beverage; specify if you want decaf; if iced, say iced before the size, if hot do not add anything; if you want a different number of shots than the standard, say single, double, triple, quad, or 5 shots; if you want a syrup say the flavor and if you want a number of pumps different from the standard, say how many pumps; default for milk is 2%, if you want something other than that say it now; next say any other modifications you would like to make, such as no foam extra foam extra hot no whip ect. Finally, say the name of the drink, such as latte, mocha, cappucino, caramel macchiato ect. There is no need to add the word caffe before the drink.

  3. Step 3

    Here are a couple examples:
    - Can I get an iced half decaf triple grande sugarfree vanilla nonfat extra caramel caramel macchiato
    - Can I get a venti toffee nut no whip mocha
    - Can I get an iced tall unsweetends no water black tea

  4. Step 4

Pay and enjoy a perfectly ordered beverage.

Tips & Warnings
  • It makes barsitas really happy when someone orders a drink properly, you'll probably get a WOW, that was good
