The boil must first come to a head before treatment, kind of like a zit. Pressing a warm cloth to the boil a few times a day will easily speed this up. The boil will process like this naturally and eventually it will break and leak pus.

Once the boil comes to a head and breaks, we have to make sure the boil and the area surrounding it remains clean in order to prevent infection. Your typical skin cleaning rituals will work for this but there are a couple more tips I'd recommend and they're in the following steps.

Salt water is always a great way to clean out a cut or scrap and a boil is no different. Mix some salt in a cup of water and use a wash cloth to apply it to the boil. It should clean and dry out the puss limiting discharge.

4
Cover the boil in a saline solution to help clean and prevent infection.

5
Taking an antibiotic that fights staph bacteria can help the healing process of the boil. Don't take anything without seeking the opinion of a doctor first, please.

All that is left is to let the boil heal naturally on it's own. You main job really is to keep the infection from spreading to the rest of your skin or someone else's skin.
