      1. Start your collegiate career while you're in high school. A good age to do this is 16. If you have a good amount of friends in high school and really like it there continue in high school, while going to community college part of your day. If you think you're ready for college full time, go for it while paying little to nothing at the local community college.

Decide your major as early as possible. Don't worry if you don't know exactly which one to choose; that's what the first few years of college are for. For example if you like math, try and take introductory classes in other related courses such as physics, engineering, chemistry, or economics. You are probably not going to be doing to same thing for your whole life anyway.

Once your 18 you should have 1-2 years of college credits than can transfer to any university. Now you're going in knowing exactly what major you want to complete. You won't need to take all your general classes that most universities require, which can be time consuming.

Summer classes are usually a good idea as well. They go very quick, but are an easy way to complete classes and work at the same time without getting bored during the summer months.

At age 19 you should have around one year remaining. Take advantage of this by preparing for what you want to do after you graduate. Keep in mind that most of your friends may still be in college for 2 more years. If you really like the college and had good grades you should be able to continue and get a masters in 1.5-2.5 more years of studying. Or if you think you're ready for the working life spend time looking for internship's.
