How to Bake Aunt Thelma's Banana Bread

Banana bread is so good but my aunt Thelma's bread recipe is excellent and so easy. Let me share with you how to Bake Aunt Thelma's Banana Bread recipe.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 Cup margarine
  • 6 Very ripe bananas mashed
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/2 Cups flour
  • 1 Tsp salt
  • 2 Tsp baking soda
  • 2 Loaf pans
  1. Step 1
    Preheat oven
     
    Preheat oven

    Move your oven rack up to the center and preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Step 2

    Sift dry ingredients 3 times and set aside for later. I got the banana bread recipe from another aunt and she shared with me she just swirls a fork through the mixture to make it light and fluffy. I liked that ideas since I don't have a sifter.

  3. Step 3
    Sugar and margarine

    Mix the sugar and softened margarine real well.

  4. Step 4
    Add bananas
     
    Add bananas

    Mash your bananas real well. Add your mashed bananas and eggs into the sugar mix. Beat real well.

  5. Step 5
    Add flour
     
    Add flour

    Add in flour mix little by little and mix well.

  6. Step 6
    Banana Bread
     
    Banana Bread

    Pour in 2 greased loaf pans and bake in 350 degrees oven for 55 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Slice it up warm and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • I did not move my oven rack up and the bottom of my bread got a little brown. Adjust your rack so this doesn't happen to you.
