How to Make Allergy Tea: Herbal Treatment of Seasonal Allergies or Hay Fever

Many people suffer from allergies or hay fever. There are many herbs that effectively treat seasonal allergies. This recipe includes 4 of the best allergy fighting herbs: nettle, echinacea, red clover, and peppermint.

Instructions
  1. Step 1
    Dried Nettle
    Dried Nettle

    2 parts nettle
    2 parts peppermint
    1 part red clover
    1 part echinacea

    Combine the dried ground herbs above at the listed ratios. If the herbs are in whole leaf form, chop them first in a food processor or coffee grinder.

  2. Step 2

    Steep 1 1/2 teaspoons of the herbal tea in hot water for 15 minutes. Cover the tea while it is steeping to prevent the steam from removing the medicinal components.

  3. Step 3

    Drink the herbal tea 3 times daily for effective treatment of seasonal allergies.

  4. Step 4

    Herbal tea can be drunk immediately or stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.

    Adding ground and dried berries to the tea gives it an interesting flavor and color. You can also add a bit of honey to improve the flavor.
