Reduce, Reuse, Recycle is the theme of this draft door stopper.

Here is a super easy way to make a no sew door draft stopper using recycled materials. This is a great way to recycle all those nylons, tights, and socks with runs and holes in the toes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Old nylons or tights
  • Old socks, t-shirts, scraps of fabric etc.
  • Ribbon or elastic bands
  • Scissors

Gather together your supplies. You will be using your nylons or tights for the body of the door draft stopper and stuffing it with the socks and fabric scraps.

Cut the top and feet of the nylons so you have two separate leg pieces for the door draft stopper.

  2. Step 2
Tie off one end of the recycled door draft stopper

Using old, but clean socks, scraps of fabric, torn t-shirts etc. stuff the nylon leg of your door draft stopper until it is the size you want.

Squish and pull the recycled stuffing (ie. socks, scraps etc) until your recycled draft door stopper is the length and width you desire.

  4. Step 4

Take the other recycled nylon piece and using a piece of ribbon or elastic band tie off one end.

Insert the stuffed draft door stopper inside the second recycled nylon leg and pull up to completely cover the stuffed piece.

Tie off the other end with a piece of ribbon or an elastic band.

Now just lay your finished recycled nylon door draft stopper infront of that drafty door.
