Things You'll Need:
- plastic bags
- glue
- rule
- rubber bands
-
Step 1
Use two plastic bags to form the inside of the bag. Cut one of the four sleeves off a cardboard box. Cut the corner off of the sleeve or round the edges. Place the sleeves along the seam inside the bag to get a correct fit. Remove the sleeve and spread several drops of glue on the cardboard press into the bottom of the plastic bag. Press out the wrinkles. Place glue on the top side of the cardboard insert in the bag place the second plastic bag inside the first and press out the wrinkles and line up the handle of each bag.
-
Step 2
To make the side insert panels. Cut cardboard out according to the width and height of the plastic bags round the edges. Insert the cardboard panels glue on both side and smooth out the wrinkles with a rule. The plastic bag should be able to stand on it own at this point.
-
Step 3
To reinforce the plastic bag handles, take three plastic bags. Use three bags the same color or add two of the same color and one a different color to give the bag some interest. Take three bags and press the air out of them and twist. Tie off the one end with a rubber band. Braid tightly the three plastic bag leaving a enough end to tie inside the purse handles a the base of the handle on both sides.
