Things You'll Need:
- TShirt (and/or old shirt, fabric scraps,etc)
- pattern paper(gift wrapping scraps, tissue paper, etc)
- paper/fabric scissors
- thread
- straight pins
- sewing or merrow machine
- stitch witchery(crafting option only)
- pencil, ruler
- iron

Step 1
Cutting Garment Frame!Select your TShirt/fabric for the project. Place on flat surface. Cut garment out of its frame.You will have a front and back panel, collar and sleeves. Do not throw away your scraps! We will recycle them later!

Step 2
HeadScarf/Drawstring Pattern!Pattern: measure 18" across and 10" from top to bottom at center. You will have a triangle shape. Measure 1/2" width at two corners to form shaped end-tabs. This will help you insert your drawstring later.
Drawstring Pattern: measure 16" from side to side. Measure 3/4"side width. Add 1/4"seam allowance to finish at 1-1/4" width. (optional) -
Step 3
With straight pins, place patterns on graphic or print area you would like to showcase for your headscarf. You are now in the process of reinventing your tshirt!
Cut: 2 pieces for headscarf
Cut: 2 pieces for drawstring -
Step 4
Select sewing or crafting option;
Sewing option: Stitch all around headscarf, leaving end-tabs open. Select decorative or contrasting thread colors!
Crafting option: Use "Stitch Witchery"(or fabric bonding agent) to adhere headscarf and drawstring, leaving end-tabs open. You will have a trendy raw edge finish!(Stitch Witchery hem!)
"Stitch Witchery":HeadScarf
Cut 1 strip: 17" length; Cut 2 strips: 12" length
"Stitch Witchery":Drawstring
Cut 2 strips: 15" length -
Step 5
Insert Drawstring!Sewing option:
Insert spaghetti-like drawstrings at each end-tab. Add security or decorative stitch at end-tab to secure drawstring.
Crafting option:
Cut two 3/4" "Stitch Witchery" strips. Carefully insert at end-tabs to close. Add security hand-sewn stitch to secure drawstring. (optional)
