Things You'll Need:
- Windows XP

Step 1
Your IP address is your computers personal identity address and every computer has one. The key aspect is to be able to determine your real IP address from your physical address on windows XP. Start by going to the start menu and clicking on it.
-
Step 2
Next, scroll over to the second row of options and click on the run option and a box will appear with a space for you to type into that says open to the left of the box..
-
Step 3
Next, put the letters "CMD" in the box and hit ok and the command prompt box will appear. It will be a big black box with some information in it. You will see the curser blinking at the end of the text.
-
Step 4
Start where the curser is blinking and type in these letters "ipconfig/all" and hit the enter button on your computer. Once you do the command prompt will pull up all of your connections.
-
Step 5
Scroll below the physical address until you see "ip address". This is your real computer ip address.
