How to Send a Los Angeles County Inmate a Care Package

Are you a family member of friend of a Los Angeles County Inmate? If so, you may be wondering how to send them a care package. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has made it relatively easy to send a care package to an LA County Inmate. Follow these directions to learn how.

Instructions

1. The first thing you need to do in order to send a care package to a Los Angeles County inmate is point your web browser to the Keefe Commissary Network Page. The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department has partnered with the Keefe Commissary for the purposes of sending care packages to its inmates. You can find a link to the Keefe Commissary Network page below this article in the resources section.

2. You will need to fill out the simple registration form in order to proceed with ordering your Los Angeles Inmate Care Package. You cannot send the inmate care package without registering, so go ahead and fill in your information. Don't worry, this step takes less than a minute.

3. Los Angeles County inmates are identified by their booking number, you will need it in this next step in order to move on. If you do not know the LA County inmate's booking number you can search for it by clicking the appropriate link directly on the page that is asking you for the booking number. If you know the booking number, enter it now, and move on to step 4. If you do not know the booking number read the next paragraph in this step.

   Once you have clicked that link, fill in the first an last name of the LA County inmate and you should be returned with a list of inmates to choose from. Once you have found the inmate booking number enter it to move on to the next step.

4. Next you will be shown a list of inmate care packages in which to choose from. Make your selection, pay your fee and then log out. Now you are done. Your care package will be on its way to the Los Angeles County inmate you have chosen.
