Throw blankets make great presents. Fleece is a synthetic fabric invented in 1985 and used widely in outdoor clothing. Fleece is celebrated for both its softness and its ability to insulate even when wet. Fleece is a great material to use to make throw blankets used in the home, on the porch swing and outdoors while camping. This tutorial will explain how to make a simple throw blanket from fleece.

  1. Step 1

    Select the fleece fabric you want to use and how large you want to make your throw blanket. Fleece typically sold in a fabric shop comes in 60 inch wide fabric bolts.
