Instructions

    • 1

Roll each diaper. This will be the most time-consuming part. Secure each one with a clear rubber band.

    • 2

Add more umph to your cake by hiding little goodies for mom-to-be within the layers. This can be done by placing travel-sized shampoos or other trinkets here and there in place of some of the rolled diapers.

    • 3

Assemble your cake. Grab that cardboard or metal base and place the baby bottle in the middle. You can even fill the bottle with small candies. The bottom layer will require two rings of diapers around the bottle. Secure each ring with ribbon. The next layer will need one ring around the top of the bottle. Again secure with ribbon.

    • 4

Form a third and final layer with only one ring of diapers secured with ribbon.

    • 5

Affix a centerpiece on top of the cake. You may have selected a stuffed animal, rubber ducky or even a pretty bow or floral arrangement.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you buy diapers with patterns, roll the white side out.

  • You may use double-sided tape instead of clear rubber bands to secure the rolled diapers, but it may harm the diapers during disassembly.

  • Cakes are fragile. You may want to wrap it in cellophane and tie it a bow when you're finished for easier transportation.
