Keeping Busy

As much as we would like to write every day, there are times when we just can't get to do it. We either have personal issues to deal with, or we simple face writer block or enthusiasm.

We all know how important it is to add content to our profile in order to make money.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Time
  • Commitment
  • Devotion
  1. Step 1

    Find Time!

If you are an early morning person, then wake up about 10 minutes before your regular time. These ten minutes you will do nothing but to check into your account at eHow. Set this time for this purpose only! Taking these 10 minutes for eHow is worth it.

  2. Step 2

    Check Your Comments!

After signed in, you should check your comment section to see who has left you comments. It is a decent courtesy to acknowledge your friends and fans.

Then go ahead, and return their time and kindness! We are all here for one reason, and that is to get views, which translate into making money.

  3. Step 3

    Visit the Home Page!

Click on the "Home" page section of eHow, and check out the active members at the moment. You can see what is going on, what articles are feature, and what everybody is doing.

Pick out five new members, and leave comments on their articles. Not only you make new friends, you also let them know that you are online and active.

  4. Step 4

Writing and Reading Go Hand in Hand!

If you can't write, for whatever reasons, then read! When you read, a new idea might spark, and you keep your mind sharp.

I haven't been able to write much these last few months due to personal issues, but I keep this ritual as much as I can. My income on eHow remains steady, even without new articles.

  5. Step 5

    Re-Work Your Articles!

If you have time, promote your old articles, or edit old ones that earn nothing. Sometimes, changing things around such as a new title or new category, and add different keywords can bring in more views.

Tips & Warnings
  • Take time to read others
  • Be a good friend
  • Support others, and they will support you
  • Common courtesy is very important
  • Don't send messages to demand your friends/fans to always read your writing
  • Remember that besides eHow or any other websites, people have a life also

on 11/23/2009 Good stuff here. As a longterm eHow user, I have seen whole crops of users come and go. A rule that we've followed from Day 1 at doitrightnow (we're a group of writers, actually) is that we don't go looking for friends. If people add us, that's wonderful, but we don't seek them. And you know what? Our friends are much more involved and likelier to read our e-mails when we send them. Most of us also have personal eHow accounts, and we've tried it both ways. Food for thought.

on 11/23/2009 Thanks for the good suggestions. How do we manage to keep eHow from deleting our highest earning articles? I am going to follow your advice and rework a few... 5 stars to you!

on 9/16/2009 Icy, you are so right. We all spread ourselves too thin at times and a little reorganizing sure helps.
