Many people who take prescription drugs, can suffer side effects. Most drug side effects dissipate after time, but they can be scary while they are happening. They can also lead to other medical problems. This is why it is important to research all of your medications.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Do your research: Any time your are given a drug prescription, ask your doctor, what you can expect, or look up you drug on line to find out how it will affect you.

  2. Step 2

    Stick with a proven prescription drugs: Some newer drugs have been FDA approved, but often cause harmful effects. Ask you doctor to prescribe something proven to be safe.

  3. Step 3

    Inform your doctor of negative effects: If you have been taking a prescription drug and are not feeling better or having side effects, immediately call your doctor.

  4. Step 4

    Heal yourself: If you have a medical condition that can improve with weight loss and exercise, lose those extra pound, eventually illuminate the need for prescription drugs.

  5. Step 5

    You may not need prescription drugs: If you are mildly depressed, you probably don't need a prescription drug. Look for alternative treatments for your condition.
