How to Remove Restylane

Restylane is a temporary facial filler that smoothes out wrinkles, giving your skin a youthful appearance. If you feel that Restylane is not for you after receiving treatment and would like to return to your previous look, patience might be your best option. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Wait 6 months. Since the treatment is a biodegradable filler, in 6 months the results will disappear and your appearance will return to how it used to look.

    • 2

Go to a dermatologist. If you would rather not wait 6 months for the filler to dissolve or the Restylane has caused disappointing results, a dermatologist or trained professional can correct your problem. By injecting hyaluronidase into the skin, the Restylane is broken up and corrects the mistake from the previous procedure.

You might consider surgery. Although waiting for the injection to dissolve the filler is your safest bet, surgery can remove Restylane from the affected area. This should only be considered an option in extreme circumstances.

Tips & Warnings

  • Hyaluronidase injections can cause bruising to the area.
