Using Internet English language courses is not simply for people unfamiliar with the language. These online classes could also benefit an adolescent student taking English classes in elementary school. Internet English classes contain the same lessons found in grammar books, such as vocabulary and spelling tutorials. Many of these websites also contain helpful audio and video lessons. When you use the Internet to learn English, you also have the option of repeating lessons as often as necessary. Many sites let you learn English for free online.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start off on English Online (see Resources below). This website offers beginners, elementary, intermediate and advanced English lessons. You will also find video and audio lessons along with the standard text English lessons. Scroll down the beginners English course and click the "Grammar" link under the "Part 1" heading to begin. When you finish this course, click the "elementary" tab at the top of the screen to proceed to the next course.

  2. Step 2

Visit the English Page (see Resources below). This website lists numerous links on subjects such as English vocabulary, verb tenses and conditionals. To start, click the "Grammar" link on the far left side of the page. You will notice several different links on the next page. Click on the link of your choice and you will find a list of lessons on the next page. Choose any of those lessons to begin that particular tutorial.

  3. Step 3

Use English Grammar 4 U to learn English on the Internet (see Resources below). As with English Page, English Grammar 4 U lists numerous different links per category. Begin by clicking the "Grammar" link found in the "Cram Up" box on the left side of the homepage. Once you do, you will be taken to a Web page with over three dozen lesson links. Select the lesson of your choice to complete that lesson. When you're ready, you can move on to the other links in the "Cram Up" box.

  4. Step 4

Review English with the English the Easy Way website (see Resources below). Tutorials on this website help to describe the basics of the English language, such as what a noun is and the difference between the past continuous tense and the past simple tense. To find the lessons on English the Easy Way, click "Grammar" on the left side of the homepage. From there, you can select the category of your choice to find tutorials on that particular aspect of the English language.

  5. Step 5

Log onto the Learn English Online website (see Resources below). This website lists over 50 lessons for a person new to English or somebody with limited knowledge of the English language. Beginners should start off clicking the "Lesson 4" link in order to review the English alphabet. Once you've done this, you can click on any of the lessons to complete that particular lesson as the tutorials found on Learn English Online aren't listed in any order.
