Find Discounts in Orlando Florida

Find discounts for your next vacation to Orlando Florida. Orlando is the vacation capital of the United States. The many theme parks, water parks, resorts, and attractions draw a huge audience each year. Orlando is also a place where many have to save for years to be able to take a vacation. Save some money on your next trip to Orlando, Florida by taking advantage of available Discounts.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Get an Orlando Magic Card. The Magic Card is offered for free by the Orlando Convention and Visitors Bureau. Go to orlandoinfo.com and download and print your card or they can send you one by mail if fill out a form. You can save at restaurants like Raglan Road Irish Pub, BB King's, or Hard Rock Orlando, just present your card for savings. Some attractions like Gatorland and Medieval Times Dinner Show also will give you a discount with the Magic Card. Also, present the Magic Card for discounts at many different hotels, shopping, golf, transportation, vacation rentals, and museums throughout Orlando Florida.

  2. Step 2

Purchase attraction tickets from a discount ticket broker. Attraction tickets for Universal Studios, Sea World, Wet and Wild, La Nouba, Disney, or Dinner Shows like Medieval Times, Pirates, and Arabian nights can be pre-purchased for discounts off of gate prices and online prices. There are some great legitimate companies selling tickets at a discount like Undercover Tourist, Maple Leaf Tickets, and AAA. Make sure the tickets are new since tickets are not transferable and never buy from a company offering time shares.

We purchased Disney tickets and water park tickets from a ticket broker on our last trip and saved over $95. They even delivered our tickets to our Disney report for free. They were waiting for us when we checked in.

  3. Step 3

Save on parking at the airport. Use your AAA card to book reserved parking a Park & Fly locations through the U.S. Save over 10% on pre-paid parking when booked through aaa.com.

  4. Step 4

Save money on food. Food at any hotel or resort is very expensive. You can save 75% of the cost if you take a trip to a grocery. Make sure you book a hotel with a refrigerator and find transportation to a grocery. Take a taxi or public bus if you must, you will still save a lot of money on food.

  5. Step 5

Save money on ground transportation. Costs for ground transportation typically account for extra cost in your vacation if you plan to fly to Orlando. There are some great ways to avoid renting a car.

Use Disney's magical express if you plan to fly to Orlando International (not Stanford Airport) and you will be staying at a Disney resort.

Use a shuttle service like Mears to get from the airport to your resort. Many of these services also allow you to make a stop at a grocery store.

Use the Orlando Go Lynx public bus service. This is by far the cheapest if you are not staying at a Disney resort. There is a bus stop near the airport hotels (take a free shuttle to the airport hotels). There are bus stops near all of the Orlando attractions. At Disney there are bus stops near downtown Disney, the Transportation and ticket center, near the Contemporary resort, and EPCOT. There are bus stops near Universal Studios and the Sea World attractions. One way tickets are only $2 and an all day ticket is only $4.50. Transfers are free for 90 minutes. Kids under 18 can ride for half price and kids under 6 are free. You cannot beat the prices, but you will need to allow extra time and will have some short walks. Go to golynx.com and use their trip planner to plan your ground transportation.

  6. Step 6

    Find military discounts.

If you are on active duty in the military including the Reserves, National Guard or are retired from the military you and your family are eligible for discounts at many Orlando attractions and hotels.

For Disney discounts go to the Shades of Green resort on Disney property or call the Navy Region Southwest at (619) 767-6000 or the Air Force Central Ticket Program at (210) 652-2855. Some federal civil service employers such as NASA and the Department of Defense are also eligible for a discount. See your human resources to find out more information.

Contact the Buena Vista Suites at Toll Free: 800-537-7737 to get a military discount or the Swan and Dolphin at Walt Disney World at 1-800-227-1500. The Shades of Green can be reached by calling (888) 593-2242.
