Centerpieces can be a beautiful and interesting way to decorate a table. Many people enjoy using centerpieces for each of the four seasons to decorate their tabletops. Fall is an especially beautiful season in many areas, with vibrant colors and enticing scents. Use these rich fall colors and choose natural autumn objects to make works of art that will be attractive fall centerpieces to use year after year.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 8-inch pillar candle
  • 6-inch diameter grapevine wreath
  • Chestnuts
  • Bittersweet berries
  • Hot glue gun
  • Glass dinner plate
  1. Step 1

Place the grapevine wreath on the glass dinner plate. Place the pillar candle in the center of the wreath.

  2. Step 2

Plug in the hot glue gun to heat it up.

  3. Step 3

Begin to arrange the chestnuts around the candle on the wreath. The desired effect will be for some of the grapevines to be visible but to fill in most of the area surrounding the candle with chestnuts. Glue the chestnuts to the wreath with the hot glue gun when you have a pleasing arrangement that you like.

  4. Step 4

Fill in some of the areas around the chestnuts with small sprigs of bittersweet. The bittersweet should complement the chestnuts but not overwhelm them. Glue the bittersweet sprigs into place when you are satisfied with the effect.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add other natural autumn decor to the grapevine wreath, if desired. Items such as small wooden apples, acorns, small gourds or silk leaves would also be lovely if glued to the grapevine wreath. Experiment with various items to make centerpieces that you like. By using a variety of items you can make several different centerpieces.
  • Be careful when using the hot glue gun. The melted glue can be hot enough to burn severely.
