1
Place your Pelouze scale on a flat surface and, if it's a digital scale, turn it on. If you are using a container to weight your items, put it on the scale's platform.
-
2
If using a digital scale, press the button marked "tare." This will set the scale to zero, and will need to be reset every time you turn the scale on. On a non-digital scale, turn the knob in the center of the scale's numerical face to align the arrow with the zero.

3
Place the item you're weighing onto the scale or pour it into the container if it's something that could scatter, such as nuts or coffee beans. The digital scale's arm will calculate weight and the non-digital scale will lower, causing the arrow on the numerical face to align with the item's weight.
-
4
The number on the scale is the item's weight.

Some Pelouze digital scales offer readings in ounces or grams, with a button to toggle between them. If your reading seems off, make sure you are using the correct unit.

Tips & Warnings
Always keep Pelouze digital scales turned off when not in use to conserve battery power. Some quantities may be too large for your scale. The scale's capacity will be listed in the manual.
Digital scales are sensitive to water and may not work if washed or allowed to get wet. Scales are fragile, so treat with care.
