How to Glue Wood Flooring Onto Concrete
Wood flooring can be glued directly onto concrete floors using wood flooring adhesive. This process is simple and can be done by a beginner to wood flooring installation. While it is not difficult work, it requires speed and careful planning. Sweep the concrete floor to ensure that it is free of dirt and debris before beginning the flooring installation.

Apply the wood flooring adhesive to the floor with the trowel, starting at one wall. The adhesive should be applied to an area large enough to lay two to three rows of the wood flooring.

Drag the trowel through the adhesive to create lines or ridges in the adhesive. This work should be done quickly to prevent the adhesive from drying.

Lay the wood flooring one row at a time by pressing the boards into the adhesive. Start by laying the first row flush against the wall where the adhesive has been spread.

Cut the last board with a miter saw in order to make it fit onto the end of the row. In order to make the floor stronger, the boards should be staggered so that the end joints do not line up across the floor. Do this by starting a new row on the same side of the room where the last row (which used a cut piece of flooring) ended.

Start the new row with an uncut board, pushing the boards up against the first row so that they fit tightly together. Some wood flooring will have grooves cut into the sides to make this easier, as the boards will fit together like puzzle pieces.

Continue to spread adhesive and lay the wood flooring until the entire floor has been covered.
