A Roomba Discovery is cordless vacuum cleaner that cleans without a human operator. Using a sensor, the Roomba Discovery seeks out and sucks up dirt. It is capable of adjusting from carpeted floors to all types of hard flooring on its own. The Roomba has been revolutionizing the traditional vacuum since 2001, but the one thing it won't do is clean itself. Hair, dirt and threads tend to get trapped around the ball and the rotating brushes of the machine. Thankfully, the Roomba Discovery is quite easy to clean.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Small scissors
  • All-purpose cleaner (409, Windex, etc.)
  • Wash cloth
  1. Step 1

Turn the Roomba onto its back so the ball is facing up.

  2. Step 2

Using your scissors, snip away any hair or threads that may have become tangled around the ball.

  3. Step 3

Snip away any hairs that are clinging to the brushes. Depending on how dirty your machine is, this may take a while.

  4. Step 4

Flip your Roomba right side up and spray with all purpose cleaner.

  5. Step 5

Wipe away the cleaner using a circular motion. Your Roomba Discovery should now be clean and working properly.

Tips & Warnings
  • Turning the brushes while you snip away at the hair and threads may help to loosen them.
