If you have frizzy hair you probably despair of ever finding a magical cure for your hair woes. Luckily dealing with frizzy hair requires understanding the hair. People who have frizzy hair generally also have dry hair. There are some exceptions but in general the same cleaning process you use for dry hair will work for frizzy hair.

Things You'll Need:

    Easy Does It

  1. Step 1

Wet hair thoroughly with warm water. Don't flip hair around or rough it up. Let the water soak through to your scalp.

  2. Step 2

Place a dime sized amount of moisturizing shampoo in the palm of your hand. Rub your hands together, then smooth the shampoo through your hair. Use the wide tooth comb to work the shampoo from the roots to the ends. This will work up a little lather without your scrubbing and tangling your hair.

  3. Step 3

Rinse the hair thoroughly, again avoiding too much manipulation of the strands. Use warm water to rinse, as this will keep the hair pliable and the follicles open for the conditioner.

  4. Step 4

Apply a quarter sized amount of conditioner to your hand and work it through the hair. Start at the top and work downward with the comb. Allow the conditioner to sit for 5 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

  5. Step 5

Once the conditioner is rinsed out of your hair with warm water, rise again with cold water. Cold water will seal the hair strands and prevent humidity and other environmental causes from making your hair frizz. Wrap hair gently in an absorbent towel to soak up excess water. Leave the towel on your head for a few minutes instead of scrubbing the hair dry with it. This will leave the strands virtually undisturbed and won't increase frizz.

  6. Step 6

Use the wide toothed comb to smooth the hair and allow it to air dry. After hair is completely dry you can apply styling products and use a curling iron or blow dryer to smooth the hair out and eliminate frizz.
