You know what you like to watch on directv, however, you may not always know when to tune in or what channel it can be found on. Following are quick tips to record automatically. Some could be missed in the directv setup instructions.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Directv DVR
  1. Step 1

Power on your DirecTV DVR receiver as usual. Wait for the LED indicator to light up and the TV screen to load.

  2. Step 2

Press Menu and wait for the screen to load on the right hand side.

  3. Step 3

Scroll down to Search for shows on the directv menu setup options, second from the top.

  4. Step 4

Start typing in the first letters of the show you wish to search for and record using your arrow keys on your directv remote.

  5. Step 5

Select your record choice, either record all episodes, only new or record once. You can also get directv show information directly from this screen.

  6. Step 6

Feel free to delete any shows from the menu if recorded incorrectly.

  7. Step 7

Click the round select button in the center to save your directv record choices.

  8. Step 8

Repeat steps for additional shows you would like to find and record on the directv DVR.
