Start drinking 8 glasses of water. Think of it as flushing away the fat!

First thing in the morning, drink a warm glass of water with lemon in it. This helps to get your metabolism going.

Vinegar also burns fat. Add vinegar to your daily diet.

Start counting calories. Measure everything you eat. You will probably find that you are eating more than the serving size and may not even realize how many calories you really are consuming.

Go to www.livestrong.com and put in your weight, height, etc. You will then receive the recommended calories allowed per day. Make sure to stick with the calories allowed. Do not skip calories, this will make you gain weight. You can record everything you eat right on the site under "Daily Plate" this will keep track of your total calories consumed.

When exercising, deduct the correct amount of calories burned. Again, you will gain weight if you are burning calories and not getting the recommended amount of calories per day. You may need to consume more calories to get to your goal per day. The key is not to go over or under your recommended calories.

Step 7
Things to limit are soda, white pasta, bread and rice. Try switching to whole grain pasta, brown or wild rice and whole grain bread. Again, make sure to stick to the serving size. A serving size for pasta is only 2 ounces.

Cabbage also works to boost your metabolism.

Add at more fiber to your diet. Men should have between 30-38 and women should have 25-26.
