How to make a no-sew polar fleece through with some easy knots.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Two pieces of fleece the same size
  • Quality scissors
  1. Step 1

The first step to making a no-sew fleece throw is to acquire two pieces of fleece that are the same size. You could do two different patterns, or one solid and one patterned, or two different colors (the combinations are limitless). Each piece should be the size that you would like your blanket to be.

  2. Step 2

Lay fleece one on top of the other then use scissors to cut strips along all four edges about 4-5 inches long and 1 inch thick.

  3. Step 3

Once all of the strips are cut now you take each set of strips (the one on top and directly underneath it) and tie a knot in it. Repeat for all sets of strips until completed. When finished you will have a quality no-sew fleece throw to keep you warm on a cold winter night or take off the chill at your next summer campout.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use good quality scissor for cutting felt (Spring loaded will work the best i.e. Fiskars)
  • When considering how large you want the throw to be take into account that a good foot on either side will be taken off by the strips so you may want to buy a little larger
  • Summer is a good time to buy fleece and it may be on sale in it's off season
  • Be careful not to cut the strips too thin.
