make a fabulous Mint Mojito

Mint Mojitos are a classic, Cuban cocktail that are perfect for any occasion. Its a step aside from the usual bar and club drinks, but always a refreshing taste for a night of fun.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Clear Rum
  • Fresh Mint
  • Limes
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Muddler
  1. Step 1

In a mixing glass, muddle 5-8 mint leaves, 2 teaspoons of sugar, and lime juice until it is well blended. Make sure that this is done thoroughly because the taste of the drink really depends strongly on the mixture of the lime and the mint.

  2. Step 2

Fill your glass with ice, then pour in your "simple syrup"(mint, lime, sugar). There should be equal to 1-2 oz.

  3. Step 3

Add 2 ounces of rum (or to taste).
I would suggest Bacardi, Captain Morgan Silver, or Havana Club.

  4. Step 4

Now you can shake or stir your mixture until it is completely blended. You will want to make sure that the simple syrup is evenly distributed throughout your cocktail for full flavoring.

  5. Step 5

After mixing, fill the remainder of the glass with club soda.

  6. Step 6

Garnish your cocktail with a mint sprig and a lime wedge.

  7. Step 7

    Enjoy! And drink responsibly!

Tips & Warnings
  • Granulated sugar can be replaced with sugar cane syrup
  • Remember not to drink and drive!
