Step 1
Run some warm water under your sink, and hold the banana under the running water. You don't want extremely hot water, which you may use for making a cup of tea, for example, just warm water. Then dry the banana off.

Step 2
Place the banana in a plastic bag that you may have received when you purchased groceries from a store. This will prevent any air circulation, and the warm air will help to ripen the banana faster. You may also wish to place a chip clip, or other clip, around the bag to prevent any air from entering.

Step 3
After leaving your bananas over night in the plastic bag, check them to see how ripe they have become. It may take more than one day to get the bananas as ripe as you want them.

Step 4
Repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 again until the bananas are as ripe as you were hoping for.
