Things You'll Need:
- garlic powder
- apple cider vinegar
- white vinegar
-
Step 1
Start by gradually adding a little garlic powder to their food. For some reason fleas don't like garlic and don't like biting pets that eat garlic.
-
Step 2
Next put a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar into the pets drinking water. I also rinse both the cat and the dog with a 50/50 mixture of water and Apple cider vinegar after their bath. This causes them to be less tasty to fleas and ticks. As I pour the vinegar solution over them the fleas die and are rinsed right off.
Another bonus from giving your pets vinegar is that it is very healthy for them and really shines up their coat. -
Step 3
Preventing Fleas inside the house is also a job for vinegar.
In the house I mix 1/2 cup of white vinegar in 1 quart of water and spray on the carpets to keep fleas at bay.
I also mop the floors with a solution of 1 cup of with vinegar to 1 gallon of water for pest control. It really makes a difference and also removes any left over soap scum that might be there. -
Step 4
Preventing bites on yourself is easy. All you have to do is just take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water three times a day myself, to keep the bugs away from you. It works!
