Instead of wasting your money on items like magazine or book racks try making your own with this simple idea. You are also helping save the environment at the same time instead of tossing the box into the trash.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Empty cereal box
  • Tape
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Scrapbook paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  1. Step 1

    First you want to remove any box tops you can end to a local school for them to earn money.

  2. Step 2

    Now remove the top of the box and a little bit off of both the sides. Cutting a nice diagonal cut into it works best. You can also just fold the sides inward ad secure them well with a strong tape like packing or masking tape.

  3. Step 3

    Then it is time to decorate the box any way you choose. By painting it, applying pretty scrapbook paper onto the box with glue or tape. You don't even have to decorate it if you do not want to.

  4. Step 4

    You can use the boxes for more then magazines or books. Use them to store recipes, papers, bills, small toys, children's artwork, pictures, scrapbooking supplies, etc. You can customize each reused cereal box any way you desire.

  5. Step 5

    Be creative and reuse as often as you can!
