Napkin rings can be a nice way to dress up your table for that special event. Whether it’s for a wedding reception, romantic evening for two, or a house full of guests you want to astound, napkin rings are a simple way to impress your guests. Napkin rings can be made out of anything—wire, cloth, and even bread. This article aims at making elegant napkin rings out of cloth.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper Towel Roll
  • Cloth
  • Double sided tape
  1. Step 1

The easiest way to create your cloth napkin ring is to find a cardboard (empty) paper towel roll, or ring for a shower curtain. Adjust the paper towel roll to the desired length (usually you would do this by cutting it) or find shower rings that seem about the right size (it’s harder to find the right size of shower ring, they generally have to be wider than normal).

  2. Step 2

Find a color or variety of fabric you like, and envelope the ring in that cloth. Underneath the ring tape or staple the cloth to the cardboard. It works best if you use sticky clear (double-sided tape is also a good idea) tape to stick them together. Some people have reported having success with thicker varieties of cloth and small staples, but it seems a little iffy, you don’t want to end up poking anyone!

  3. Step 3

If you don’t like cloth, you can substitute wrapping paper, wallpaper, handmade paper, fur, or just about anything else you can think of! Have fun and don’t be afraid to experiment.
