Some people suffer from mild or chronic acne problems on the face from adolescence through adulthood. There are simple acne remedies for use to clear the face from pimples and from occasional acne breakouts. These basic remedies work best when you stick to their use for a minimum of four to eight weeks.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Keep your face clean. Wash your face daily with plain soap, and remove all makeup and oils before going to bed. Use a facial cleaning wipe to remove dirt. If you use a facial moisturizer, buy one with less oil. Too much oil in the skin can promote the build up of bacteria and dirt that can break into acne.

  2. Step 2

Prepare a cucumber mask to use as an acne treatment two or three times a week. Peel the cucumber, cut in small pieces and grate it on a blender. The grated mixture should look and feel like a soft paste. Apply the mix on a clean face like a mask and leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash the cucumber mask off with plain water.

  3. Step 3

Use lemon juice once a day to clear facial acne. Lemon juice can be acidic and it can dry the skin, use it gently only once a day. Apply the lemon juice with a small piece of cotton directly on the acne areas. Use real lemons and squeeze the juice out or use plain lemon juice from a bottle.

  4. Step 4

Eat fruits and vegetables daily to help clean acne and maintain clear skin. Fruits and vegetables such as; grapefruits, oranges, apples, strawberries, carrots and celery help clear the skin when eaten daily. Eat the fruits while also using an external method to get rid of the pimples and blackhead.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't use lemon juice on open cuts.
  • If your face gets too dry using lemon or cucumber, use a moisturizer.
