Load Film Into a 35mm Camera

This is an easy article on how to load film into a 35mm camera. It is a simple thing to do if you follow these simple steps.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Camera 35mm
  • New Film
  1. Step 1

There are two ways to load film in a 35mm camera. The first type is an auto load feature which makes it real easy to do. You open the little door on the bottom and drop in the film cartridge. Close the door and it will automatically wind the film so it is ready to go.

  2. Step 2

The second type of 35mm camera has a large door that opens on the rear of the camera showing the inside like the picture to the side.

  3. Step 3

Next take our film cartridge and insert it in where it says film. Pull out the tab with the little holes on the bottom and set those on the gear that turns the film.

  4. Step 4

Now close the back of the camera and if it is an auto wind model it will wind the fill. If it is not an auto wind camera then take and wind the film until it clicks. Now we are ready to start taking pictures.
