How to Curl Your Hair With No Heat

Curling your hair is just not practical. The style is beautiful but it takes hours under a dryer and uncomfortable rollers or hours of heated curling irons that damaged your and don't give a long lasting style. I have a practical alternative.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • clean head of hair
  • gel
  • rubber bands
  • frizz ease
  1. Step 1

Gently towel dry your washed and conditioned hair taking care not to over dry hair. Then comb out the knots and tangles

  2. Step 2

Next evenly distribute a nickel sized amount of frizz ease though your hair root to tip. Be careful not to use to much. The goal is to get every stand of hair a tiny amount of serum on it. Or at least try to anyway. You may need more or less depending on the length and thickness of your hair. After you rub it in, brush it in.

  3. Step 3

This step really has to be tweaked to fit your individual hair thickness. My hair is pretty thick so I divide my hair into eight equal parts. I recommend dividing you hair into 6 or 8 equal parts. If you want really wavy hair 10 is great.

  4. Step 4

Begin with a pea sized amount of gel and evenly apply it to one of the hair sections. Tightly braid or plat your sections. Secure ends with rubber bands.

  5. Step 5

When the hair has dryed gently take loose the braids taking care not to tease them too much. This will keep your style longer and frizz under control. You can finish with a quick squirt of hairspay for extra hold of mist with a sheening spritz for extra shine.

Tips & Warnings
  • It is important to make sure the hair is moist when it is being braided. Also be sure your hair is completely dry before taking the braids loose.
