Things You'll Need:
- Plastic bags
-
Step 1
Reuse a plastic bag by using it as stuffing.
Shred the bags and then use the shredded material as stuffing for pillows and other things. One of the best pillows I was given was a handmade pillow that had been filled with shredded plastic bag material. Just make sure that the things that are stuffed as sewn or sealed tightly so that little children cannot get to the plastic! There is no need to buy store bought stuffing again for your projects. Make your own from plastic bags. -
Step 2
Use plastic bags for any and everything that needs to be contained.
They make great organizers for miscellaneous items. They can be used to wrap out of season clothes in to protect them. They are great for wrapping anything that can leak while traveling (like shampoos, etc.). Use them to pick up small amounts of trash in. Use them for small trash can liners. The possibilities are endless. I even carry them to work for lunch sacks. -
Step 3
Use plastic bags for packaging.
Things that have to be mailed in boxes can be protected by being stuffed with bags around them. They are also good for protecting things that are mailed in envelopes. If breakables are being stored or boxed up for moving, you can wind up using a ton of plastic bags. If you plan on moving in the future, start saving now because you will go through them fast. -
Step 4
Use them for making crafts.
The plastic bags can be cut into strips and used to crochet purses or other crafts. This may not seem like it would be pretty but it really is. Choosing the right color combinations can make a really nice purse. Different stores use different colors so ask your friends to donate and start organizing them by color. Think of all of the crafts that they can used for.

on 7/11/2009 I always feel bad when I accept plastic bags at the grocery store because I have reusable bags. However, I do save those plastic bags and reuse them as well. This very good information on how to reuse a plastic bag.
