Update your Action Replay. To do this, make sure the Action Replay is securely plugged into the Nintendo DS. Turn the DS on until you get to the "Action Replay" home screen. Connect the Action Replay DS to a different USB port. If your computer isn't recognizing your Action Replay but you are sure it is plugged in, try plugging it into a different USB port. If your computer then recognizes it that is a sign that the first USB port on your computer has stopped working.

Reinstall the device drivers for your Action Replay DS. If your computer still won't recognize your Action Replay, put the CD that came with the device into your computer's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive and reinstall the software contained on it. This will reinstall its device drivers, which are the small computer programs that let your Action Replay and your computer operating system coexist with each other.

Reset your Action Replay DS. If you are having problems inputting codes into video games it could mean that your code list has been corrupted. Fixing this problem requires you to reset the Action Replay DS to its original factory settings and inputting the code list from your computer once again.
To reset your Action Replay hold down the "A" and "B" buttons on the Nintendo DS (with the Action Replay inserted) while the DS is powered off. Power on the Nintendo DS while continuing to hold down the "A" and "B" buttons. Next, hold down the "Start" and "Select" buttons in addition to the "A" and "B" buttons. After holding down these four buttons for 10 seconds the Action Replay will reset itself to its original factory settings.
