Instructions

1. What is Twitter?
   
   Twitter is a free social messaging channel that enables its users to send and read other users' updates known as tweets for staying connected in real-time.

2. How to Join
   
   Step 1
   Access the Twitter homepage at www.Twitter.com. Notice the highlighted box in the center of the screen labeled "Get Started-Join!"
   Step 2
   Click the highlighted box labeled "Get Started-Join!" (from Step 1). The account-setup page appears. It reads "Create a Free Twitter Account" at the top of the highlighted sign-up box.
   Step 3
   Enter the requested information to join the site. Select a user name and password, enter your email address, and type the random "humanness" words into the box provided. This proves a live person is setting up the account instead of a computer program.
   Step 4
   Check the box for Twitter service email updates if you're interested in receiving them. Click the box labeled "I accept. Create my account" to accept Twitter's terms of service and create your social-networking account.

3. What to Tweet
   
   Ask questions. Twitter is GREAT for getting opinions.
   When you DO talk about your stuff, make it useful.
   Post about job vacancies.

4. Getting the Most Out of Twitter
   · Treat others with respect
   · Participate in the community
   · Complete your bio and use personal picture in your Twitter profile.
   · Do not automate the tweets.
   · Use twitter advanced search http://search.twitter.com/advanced to connect with right people.
   · Whenever you get a response (@yourname) make sure that you respond to the reply.
   · Use Twitter as a discussion forum. Ask your clients and prospective clients what they would like to see, hear, taste, and experience.
   We have to be careful while selecting the people whom we follow because, 60% of Twitter Users Quit Within the First Month.
