: Get Relief From CHEMO - Nausea/Vomiting

Oh, did I mention that the relief I'm going to mention is probably stashed in your kitchen cabinet and has probably been there for months - years? Well, anyone who has suffered through chemotherapy treatments for cancer (all kinds) will want to read this article because relief from nausea and vomiting is just moments away.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

You can't keep a good remedy down, and that's certainly the case for this natural remedy that a new study says can be a particularly useful ally in the battle against cancer. It's one of those ancient remedies that people relied on centuries before any pharmaceutical company came to our rescue with expensive "solutions" for an upset stomach or nausea.

  2. Step 2

GINGER is the name. And like many ancient healing secrets, no one needed to know how it worked - the fact that it did was good enough for them. Ginger is the solution for upset "tummy's" brought on by massive doses of chemo. Not only does it help nausea but is more effective than any anti-vomiting drug you could purchase - presecription or over the counter.

  3. Step 3

Dr. Julie L. Ryan of the U of Rochester, New York, tested more than 600 breast cancer patients undergoing chemo treatments across the country. Some were given ginger root; others a placebo. The ginger root takers rated their nausea severity 45 percent less - the placebo: no change. It should be noted that the ginger was given before the chemo treatments.

  4. Step 4

Oh, in case you're thinking ginger-snap cookies, ginger ale or ginger tea might work - WRONG! The best results came when patients took a quarter to half a teaspoon of ground ginger. I know it's tough for most people to choose an alternate form of treatment when they're staring cancer in the face....but at least give it some thought.
