How to Hide a Folder in Windows

Hide folders anywhere in your computer.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • computer
  • windows operating system
  1. Step 1

    On your desk top or inside you documents area I guess might work also you right click on an open area with your mouse and choose new folder.

  2. Step 2

    With your number keys on hold down alt and on your number key pad type these numbers. 0160 as your holding down the alt key. Then just press enter.

  3. Step 3

    Right click on your hidden folder and choose properties. Then choose customize and then change icon. From there you just click on an open area once again but not selecting any of the icon.. Click apply and then ok.

  4. Step 4

    If you want to know how to make it visible for you to see just in case you can't find it all you do is with your mouse you click in the area where you think you might of put it and with the left button clicked on your mouse and held you drag your mouse around till you see it..

Tips & Warnings
  • There you have it. Your secret hidden folder that no one can see but you when you want. Hide anything in there.
