Get Rust Off Concrete

If you have ever left anything metal on concrete, it doesn't take it long to get rust stains. Weathered patio furniture, paint cans, and tools are just some of the many items people leave on their concrete. You only to come back later to be upset over a nasty rust stain left behind. Metal doors have even been known to rust and run down a walkway. So how do you remove all those stains without harsh chemicals?

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Kool-Aid Lemonade
  • Hot Water
  • Scrub Brush
  • Container to Mix the solution in
  1. Step 1

Take a package of unsweetened Kool-Aid, lemonade flavored. It must be lemonade flavored. Grab a container to put the solution in. Mix the Kool-Aid with a couple of cups of really hot water.

  2. Step 2

Allow it to dissolve completely, shake or stir if necessary. It's not hard to do, very simple actually. So simple and chemical free, you turn this into a project the kids can enjoy.

  3. Step 3

Using a medium to hard bristle scrub brush, apply it to the concrete rust stain and scrub until the rust is all gone. It should not be difficult for the rust stain to come right up.
