Things You'll Need:
- 1 pint whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- metal mixing bowl
- kitchen aid stand mixer or wire whisk
-
Step 1
To start the vanilla whipped cream you will want to chill your bowl and whisk or whisk attachment for your kitchen aid mixer. Having a cold bowl will help the heavy whipping cream whip faster.
-
Step 2
Add the cold heavy whipping cream to the chilled bowl. For a kitchen aid mixer use your whisk attachment and set it to med-high. If you are whipping your vanilla whipped cream by hand whip vigorously with a whisk. If you are doing this by hand you can put a larger bowl of ice underneath to make it go faster.
-
Step 3
Once the heavy whipping cream forms soft peaks you can add the powdered sugar and pure vanilla extract. Continue whipping until your vanilla whipped cream form stiff peaks. This is when the peaks will stay up on their own. Store the vanilla whipped cream in a cold place covered tightly.
