Mosquitoes are annoying little pests that can leave you with some very itching mosquito bites. So mosquito repellent is necessary to keep those pesky insects away. While mosquito repellent is helpful there can be chemicals in traditional mosquito repellent that are harmful. So follow these steps to come up with some natural safe mosquito repellent.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Citronella oil is a wonderful natural mosquito repellent. Apply citronella oil to your skin to prevent mosquito bites. You can also use a citronella spray to either apply to your skin or spray around the area you will be outside. Lighting a citronella candle can also be a mosquito repellent.

  2. Step 2

    Dryer sheets are known to repel mosquitoes and other insects. Place dryer sheets in your pockets for a natural mosquito repellent. For infants you can place a dryer sheet in the stroller or car seat to help keep the mosquitoes away from the baby!

  3. Step 3

    Garlic is a natural mosquito repellent. Sprinkle garlic powder around your patio area to prevent mosquito from visiting. You can also eat garlic to build a natural mosquito repellent.

  4. Step 4

    And if all else fails you can wear mosquito netting to keep a mosquito away from you! There are hats with mosquito netting attached to them that will protect you from mosquito bites.
