Things You'll Need:
- spray bottle
- distilled water
- carrier oil
- essential oil
-
Step 1
Pour 2 cups of distilled water into the spray bottle. Buy it by the gallon so that you keep enough on hand.
-
Step 2
Pour approximately 1 to 1 and 1/2 ounce of carrier oil into the spray bottle. Use a measuring spoon at first, before long you will be able to eye the amount of oil you will need.
-
Step 3
Pour about 40-50 drops of essential oil into the spray bottle. You can use more than one essential oil, if so, split the amount of drops between the two essential oils.
-
Step 4
Shake bottle vigorously, then place it into a small pot of heated water. I think the heat helps the oil mix with the water easier, however the spray will separate after sitting, so make sure you shake the bottle well before each use.
-
Step 5
Spray hair until moist. Saturation is okay. Comb/pick hair out, starting from the ends first. If you experience any tangles, do not pull through them, hair probably needs more moisture. Spray again until hair is easy to pick/comb through.
-
Step 6
Let hair air dry or dry it with a blow dryer and a pick attachment. Re-weave hair.

on 7/22/2009 Thanks for the comments. If you find your hair needs more moisture, try decreasing the amount of water by 1/2 cup. Once you find the right combination of oil and water for your hair, your hair and scalp will love it.
