Things You'll Need:
- Laundry Baskets
- Labeler
- Patience
-
Step 1
Think about how many loads of laundry you do a week. Don't forget towels, sheets, etc... Take that number and divide it by 7 (or how many days a week you are willing to do laundry) and you'll know how many loads you need to do each day.
-
Step 2
Set yourself up for success. When my husband and I got married somehow we each had a couple of hampers. When I was organizing the laundry room I decided to label each hamper for a specific type of clothes. Since we have four hampers I labeled them White, Darks, Lights and Work. I also have a little laundry basket that I use for kitchen towels and dishrags.
-
Step 3
Pick a time each day to do a sweep of the house and make sure all the dirty clothes get put into the right baskets.
-
Step 4
On the days that you've determined that you'll do a load or two check which hamper is the fullest and wash it. Pay attention to what time the load stops so you can put it immediately from the washer into the dryer and from the dryer to the hangers. That will keep your clothes fresh and wrinkle free.
-
Step 5
By following these simple steps of doing a load or two a day you will keep up with your laundry and not become overwhelmed by an all day marathon of catching up.

on 7/10/2009 Unfortunately we stack all our freshly cleaned clothes on a rack that's way downstairs in the basement, and its too much of a hassle to bring it upstairs, so we always have to go downstairs in the morning for clothes - i hate it :) I need to keep up with it. I'm "recommending" you...
