Removing your account from ebay can be easy. This tutorial will teach you how to delete your account. Once your account is closed it can’t be reopen with the same user ID or email address, but you can create a new account.

  1. Step 1

    First, be sure that all your fees are paid and your account balance is zero. Also, make sure that if you are selling something that all of your auctions have ended. If you do have outstanding fees then your request to close your account may be denied and you will have to repeat this process again. If you have money left in your account you can request a refund before you close the account. The link to request a refund is at the under the additional resources at the bottom of the page.

  2. Step 2

    Submit a request to close your account. The information to close your account can be found at the link below this article. This request may take up to 180 days to be processed because Ebay wants to make sure that all transactions have been processed.

  3. Step 3

    Wait and receive confirmation email from Ebay stating that your account has been officially deleted.
