Things You'll Need:
- Large cooking pot with lid
- Reusable tea bags (or coffee filters and rubber bands)
- Dried rosemary
- Dried sage
- Storage container
-
Step 1
Measure the amount of water it takes to fill your large cooking pot about 3/4 of the way.
-
Step 2
For every cup of water, measure approximately 1 teaspoon of sage and 1 teaspoon of rosemary. Put the dried herbs into reusable tea bags and tie tightly. Do not knot the strings or else you'll have a very difficult time untying them to use again.
-
Step 3
If you do not have reusable tea bags, take a coffee filter and place herbs in the center. Gather the edges and wrap with a rubber band. Be careful not to put too much in each filter, or it will tear.
-
Step 4
Boil your water.
-
Step 5
Once boiling, remove pot from heat. When the bubbles disappear drop in your rosemary and sage tea bags.
-
Step 6
Allow to steep for at least 30 minutes. You can let it steep for as long as overnight, for a stronger tea.
-
Step 7
Once it has cooled off enough it is ready to be used. In the bath or shower, right before you get out, take the tea by the cupful and pour generously on the top of your head.
-
Step 8
There is no need to rinse the tea out of your hair, but will stain light colored towels. Use an old or dark towel. You may rinse the tea out, if desired.
-
Step 9
Put remaining hair tea into a storage container, like an old juice jug or milk jug, and put in the fridge to use again.
