How to Make Easy Cheesy Potatoes

Everyone loves cheesy potatoes. This recipe is super yummy and very easy. You can also change the recipe to make it spicier if you like a little bit of a zing to it.

Bring this recipe to a potluck in a crock pot if you want by cooking it first in the oven.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 lbs of frozen hash browns.
  • 1 jar of Velveeta Cheese or Spicy Cheese
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom or chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup of finely chopped onion
  • French Fried Onions Chopped for topping
  1. Step 1

    First preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Step 2

    Chop and saute your onions slightly in a large pan. Next add your cheese, your Cream of Mushroom soup, and your sour cream. Melt this all together.

  3. Step 3

    Grab a large baking pan for your potatoes. Spray this pan with Pam.

  4. Step 4

    Place your hash browns in the pan. Fold in your hot cheesy mixture.

  5. Step 5

    Cook your cheesy potatoes in your pan for about 45 minutes.

  6. Step 6

    Remove your pan and add your French Fried Onion Topping. Heat for another 15 minutes.

  7. Step 7

    For an extra spicy zing, use Spicy Velveeta cheese instead. This adds a wonderful little kick!

  8. Step 8

    This recipe goes really good with ham and baked beans. You can bring this dish to any potluck or family gathering by placing in a crockpot when it is done baking. Sprinkle a little cheese on this and you are good to go!
