Things You'll Need:

  • A positive attitude
  1. Step 1

Do not use paper products! Use dishes when you eat and glasses when you drink. You may think you are spending the same amount of money washing these dishes too, but that's not the case. Especially with an efficient dishwasher.

  2. Step 2

Use washrags instead of paper towels. 10 small washrags can easily be thrown into your next load of laundry. It will reduce costs, and it will fill your washing machine instead of doing a partial load you will be doing a full one. Always do a full load of wash, avoid washing a couple things at a time. Also, use half the amount of detergent that is recommended. These companies want you to use it up so you have to buy more!

  3. Step 3

The third waste reducer in this tutorial is to recycle. Paper, plastics, and metals are all recyclable. Do not throw any of these things away! People think that bottles and cans are the only things to recycle. Take some time to research different ways to dispose of different materials without trashing them.
